I first started with MRC after my first Hyrox event in November. I was over trained and under-fuelled struggling for energy for my sessions and just generally needed a little structure for my nutrition.
Mike has guided me through the last 28 weeks looking after my nutrition and supplementation throughout. Within this tie I have taken 4 minutes of my Hyrox time with a PB in Copenhagen of 1:05

Since working with Mike my attitude towards food has changed completely, I initially was entirely carb phobic and was terrified of ‘getting fat’ from eating them swinging all the way to full on binge eating whenever I got stressed or upset.
My outlook has changed completely understanding that as an athlete you need fuel quite simply, and that you don’t need to punish yourself for the occasional slip up or temptation in the grand scheme of things.
In the prep for Kaos England’s u90’s It’s been the best one by far.
At no point did I feel unbearably hungry or depleted, even hitting my last deload sessions 3 days out due to a messed up schedule, and making weight was genuinely the best it’s been

3 years on and numerous competitions later we are still making gains and improving performances. I started with Mike in early 2022 after Christmas, and chasing some PB numbers had put my bodyweight closer to 100kg than my weight class of 80kg. We had spoken in the gym a few times about nutrition, supplementation, and training. It was obvious he was a really knowledgeable guy, and has a great work ethic and understands what it takes to reach goals, so it was an easy choice to go with him ans my nutrition coach.
Since then we have made weight for 8 shows in 2022 and 3 shows in 2023.
He has managed my weight perfectly at all times to make sure I can gain lean muscle when the opportunity comes in off-season, helping me hit new all time PB numbers, whilst always making weight and being competitive in the U80kg & U90kg categories.
We have taken home a fair few trophies in out time working together including 3rd place at England's Strongest Man U80kg.
I always feel that health and well-being is put first with check-ins not just on weight & how I’m looking, but mental health and key physical health markers.
I can’t recommend Mike highly enough as a nutrition coach, he's super adaptable and understanding, I feel like the relationship between coach & athlete is always conversational, not dictated, which helps so much. I wouldn’t have anyone else looking after my nutrition.

Mike's given me foods I genuinely look forward to eating and enjoy everyday. I'm now up from 70kg to 89kg and leaner than I was at 70kg.
The biggest and most important improvement I've seen is my energy levels and general health. I used to feel dependent on energy drinks and caffeine to get though my days I now feel full of energy all the time. I also used to find myself getting ill quite frequently, (most likely from the lack of veg) and touch wood I haven't been ill since and I feel the best I've ever felt.

Joining Mike was the best decision I ever made. Mike cut my weight from 88kg to 83kg and I was the fittest and healthiest I ever had been

Mike Shredds got me from 93kg down to 86.5kg in 2 months without me ever feeling like I was starving myself and always felt like I had the energy levels required for my training sessions which was a big change from my usual gung ho extreme cuts which always left me feeling fucked every day!

All my meals are easily prepped so I can be sorted for a few days at a time. He’s really made the whole process so much easier.
