The Scale isn’t Fatphobic, You’re Just Fat

Look, I get it.

That number on the scale can mess with your head.

I coach people every day who are chasing fat loss, more muscle, better health & confidence.

Not just smaller digits.

But just listen to this.

I saw a video the other day of a very overweight woman smashing her bathroom scales because, in her words (between gasps of air), "They’ve ruled my life".

No.

What’s ruled her life is a lack of discipline, accountability and an unhinged sense of entitlement.

She talks about wanting a better life… but refuses to do the very thing that’ll give her one.

The scale isn’t evil.

It’s not fatphobic.

It’s not some oppressive tool designed to ruin your day.

It’s just feedback.

Data.

A tool.

Smashing it won’t fix your health markers. It won’t undo your habits. And it definitely won’t save you from dying early.

What will?

Taking ownership.

And that is the difference between the people I coach.

They actually get results, unlike the people I don’t coach, the ones still blaming everything else but themselves for their outcomes.

If you’re tired of blaming everything and everyone else but deep down knowing it’s on you, then it’s time we had a conversation.

Let’s build a plan that gives you the life you keep saying you want.

Because while you’re still smashing scales out of frustration, someone else is already walking around with their dream body.
